Vietnam – Public consultation session regarding AD investigation on certain table and chair products originating from Malaysia and the People's Republic of China

Updated procedure:

On September 01, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (“MOIT”) issued Decision No. 2091/QD-BCT regarding the investigation of the application of anti-dumping measures on several table and chair products derived from the People’s Republic of China and Malaysia.

Based on the initial investigation result, on September 30, 2022, the MOIT issued Decision No. 1991/QD-BCT regarding the application of temporary anti-dumping measures on the Subject Product. Accordingly, the anti-dumping tax rate imposed on the Subject Product from China is 21,4% for the products of chair and 35,2% for the products of the table. Additionally, the anti-dumping measure was excluded for products from Malaysia due to an insignificant proportion of investigated goods (less than 3%)

To come to the final conclusion, on 21 October 2022, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam has issued an announcement regarding the organization of public consultation on the case of AD16, the specific information relating to the consultation can be referred to as follows:

1. Time: 9 am – 12 am, Monday, 21 November 2022 (according to Hanoi time)

2. Place: Conference room No. 101 – 25 Ngo Quyen, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi

3. Meeting form: Offline and online

4. Language: The spoken and written language used in the consultation is Vietnamese. The related parties are entitled to use other spoken and written languages; however, Vietnamese translations are strictly required. Information and documents not in Vietnamese provided by the parties must be translated into Vietnamese. The parties involved must ensure truthfulness, and accuracy and take responsibility before the law for the translated content.
