Updated information

On February 10, 2025, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) received information that on February 06, 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry of Malaysia (MITI) issued a notice initiating an anti-dumping investigation on galvanized iron coils/sheets or galvanized steel coil/sheets originating from or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam. This investigation was initiated based on a request submitted by the domestic industry, represented by CSC Steel Sdn. Bhd.

Due to the digital transformation in trade remedy investigations, after the initiation, the Investigating Authority will send emails to relevant parties, requesting them to register for participation in the case through the TRIMA system.

Parties interested in participating in the case need to submit their written opinions and responses to the investigation questionnaire (in both confidential and non-confidential forms) to the Investigating Authority no later than March 08, 2025, via the TRIMA system. In addition, relevant manufacturers and exporters not named in the complaint (but who have exported products under investigation to Malaysia) wishing to participate in this case must register through the TRIMA system before February 21, 2025.

In case of technical difficulties when submitting responses to investigation questions, relevant parties can contact the Investigation Authority via email: firzanah.mystep@miti.gov.my and alltps@miti.gov.my with the subject: [TRIMA Technical Issue].

In order to ensure the interests of all organizations and individuals involved in the case, ATIM LAW FIRM recommends organizations and individuals update information on the case and actively participate in the investigation process.
