More than 15,000 new businesses entered the market in October

According to a report by the General Statistics Office, the whole country had more than 15,400 newly established enterprises in October, an increase of 21.7% compared to September, with a registered capital of nearly 126,000 billion VND, an increase of 7.4% and creating created 132,000 jobs, an increase of 64.3%.

However, the average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the month reached 8.2 billion VND, down 11.7% compared to September and down 0.6% over the same period in 2022.

According to the economic sector, in the first 10 months of this year, there were 1,427 newly established enterprises in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, down more than 15% compared to the same period last year; 31,300 enterprises in the industrial and construction sector, an increase of 0.8%; More than 99,000 businesses belong to the service sector, an increase of 6.4%.

In addition, the economy also welcomed 5,600 businesses returning to operation, down 3.1% compared to September and up 44.2% over the same period in 2022.

Overall, in the past 10 months, the whole country had 131,800 newly registered businesses, with a total registered capital of nearly 1.2 million billion VND. The total number of registered workers is 880,000 workers. The average registered capital per enterprise reached 9.2 billion VND, down 16% over the same period in 2022.

The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in 10 months reached 9.2 billion VND, down 16.1% compared to the same period in 2022. The total registered capital added to the economy in the 10 months of 2023 is 2,861.4 trillion VND, down 31.4% over the same period last year, of which the additional registered capital of enterprises increasing capital was 1,648.7 trillion VND, down 41%.

In addition, the whole country also has 51,900 businesses returning to operation (down 1.5% over the same period in 2022), increasing the total number of newly established businesses and businesses returning to operation in the first 10 months of May. 2023 to 183,600 enterprises, an increase of 2.9% over the same period last year. On average, each month there are nearly 18,400 new businesses established and returned to operation.

In contrast, in October, 5,501 businesses registered to temporarily suspend business for a limited time, an increase of 33.4% over the previous month and an increase of 35.6% over the same period in 2022; There were 4,898 businesses that stopped operating waiting for dissolution procedures, down 7.1% and up 16.6%; There were 1,501 enterprises completing dissolution procedures, an increase of 4.2% and a decrease of 6.3%.

In total, for the past 10 months, the number of enterprises temporarily suspending business for a certain period of time was 81,000 enterprises, an increase of 22.1% over the same period last year; 50,700 businesses stopped operating waiting for dissolution procedures, an increase of 25.9%; 14,700 businesses completed dissolution procedures, down 4.5%.

In the past 10 months, 146,600 businesses withdrew from the market, an increase of 20%. On average, 14,700 businesses withdraw from the market each month.
