The Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam receives a complete and valid dossier requesting an investigation to apply anti-dumping measures on imported wood fiberboard products originating from the People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand

On August 13, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam issued a Notice on the confirmation of the complete and valid dossier of the Requesting Party requesting an anti-dumping investigation on imported wood fiberboard products originating from the People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand.

The Applicant (representing the domestic manufacturing industry) includes: VRG Dongwha MDF Joint Stock Company; Dongwha Vietnam Co., Ltd.; VRG Quang Tri MDF Joint Stock Company; Kim Tin MDF Joint Stock Company; Kim Tin MDF Dong Phu Joint Stock Company.

Next steps:

Within 45 days from the date of confirmation of the complete and valid dossier; the Investigation Authority will appraise the dossier to submit to the Minister of Industry and Trade for consideration to conduct an investigation or not to conduct an investigation of the case.

The contents of the dossier appraisal include:

(i) Determining the legal representative status of the domestic manufacturing industry of the organization or individual submitting the dossier according to the provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;

(ii) Determining evidence of dumping of imported goods causing or threatening to cause significant damage to the domestic manufacturing industry or significantly hindering the formation of the domestic manufacturing industry.

To serve the appraisal work, as well as to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises, the Investigation Authority requests domestic enterprises producing/trading in similar goods mentioned above to provide the following information:

- Information about the enterprise;

- The company's opinion on the case (agree, disagree, no opinion);

- Any other documents/evidence that the company believes are related to the case.

The deadline for providing the above information is August 30, 2024.
