TECHNOLOGY MOTORBIKE TAXI DRIVER WHO HAS INCOME OVER 100 MILLION / YEAR MUST PAY 4.5% OF TAX

A representative of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department said that a technology motorbike taxi driver have 4,5% of theirrevenues over 100 million VND deducted for tax payment, in which 3% is VAT and 1.5% is a personal income tax.

Some GrabBike and Go-Bike drivers said that these expenses may take one-third of the total annual income of each driver. Therefore, if their total income reaches 100 million VND, the actual revenue is only 70 million VNDBesides, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Deparment also said that because they are business individuals rather than salaried employees, technology motorbike taxi drivers are not allowed to deduct family circumstances.
