Malaysia initiated an investigation to apply anti-dumping measures against non-alloy cold rolled coil products imported from Vietnam, China, Korea and Japan.

As of March 29, 2019, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Malaysia announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on non-alloy cold rolled coil (CRC) products imported from China. Korea, Korea, Japan and Vietnam.

1. The officially initiated date: March 29, 2019.

2. Subject products: Non-alloy cold rolled coil (CRC) includes hereof HS codes: 7209.15.00.00, 7209.16.90.00, 7209.17.90.00, 7209.18.99.00, 7225.50.90.00

3. Plaintiff: Mycron Steel CRC SDN Bhd

4. Allegations of plaintiffs: Plaintiffs believe that subject products from the above-mentioned countries are being dumped into the Malaysian market causing material injury to the domestic manufacturing in terms of market share, capacity and investment rate reduction, etc.

- Interested parties may request a Questionnaire within 15 days from the date of publication;

- Duration for answering the Questionnaire and opinion manifest about the case shall be 30 days from the date of publication;
